December 1 changes to accessing antimicrobials

Effective December 1, some antimicrobials for livestock will require a prescription from a veterinarian. Dr. Keith Lehman, chief provincial veterinarian with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, discusses some misconceptions about the changes.
