There are several methods to choose from when disposing of livestock mortalities, each with its pros and cons. One method worth considering is composting. We talked with Kim Stanford, beef research scientist at Alberta Agriculture about composting deadstock.

It showed that certain ones dissipated very quickly, while some could still be found on the pen floor for up to five months after they were last fed.
