MacDon Releases R1 Series Pull-Type Mower Conditioner From MacDon Industries

From MacDon Industries

As of 2016, MacDon's new R1 Series Pull-Type Mower Conditioner will be available. Last week they announced the new product, which is designed for faster and cleaner cutting.

It features four interchangeable conditioning systems, and has the option of nine-foot wide road-friendly transport option, which allows producers to switch from field to transport in 30 seconds.

"Given that a lot of farmland is now getting very close to areas that have a lot of traffic, and people seem to be not as willing to move over for farm machinery on the roads, it was important that we made these machines very safe to transport," says Richard Kirkby, MacDon's product manager for hay products.

The R1 Series Pull-Type is designed in 13 ft and 16 ft models that are made to work in the toughest harvesting conditions, although the 16 ft machine is 23 per cent more productive than the 13.
