On Thursday, Manitoba Agriculture Minister Blaine Pedersen met virtually with Manitoba Forage and Grassland Association (MFGA), Keystone Agriculture Producers (KAP), Manitoba Beef Producers, and the Association of Manitoba Municipalities (AMM) to discuss the drought situation in the province.

Also on the call were Deputy Minister Dori Gingera-Beauchemin, Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC) President & CEO Jared Munro and other senior leadership staff with the Government of Manitoba.

During the meeting, Pedersen acknowledged the tough conditions that producers and farmers are facing in 2021 and requested the agriculture groups seek feedback from the farmers and producers of their respective membership ranks and bring back that feedback to the Minister at a soon-to-be-held meeting.
