Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food departs for outreach to Saskatchewan

Ottawa, Ontario – Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

The Honourable Heath MacDonald, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will travel to Saskatchewan on May 19 and 20 to visit key agricultural research and processing sites, consult with stakeholders, and meet with government and industry leaders.

Day 1 – Saskatoon, Saskatchewan:

  • Minister MacDonald will spend time at the University of Saskatchewan and visit the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and Vaccine and Infectious Diseases Organization (VIDO).
  • He will take part in stakeholder consultations and will take part in a site visit at K+S Potash.

Day 2 – Regina, Saskatchewan:

  • Minister MacDonald will attend and participate in the Cargill Regina Canola Processing Facility Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Celebration. Please contact Sara_Ragaller@cargill.com for details.
  • He will also meet with his provincial counterpart, David Marit, and hold stakeholder consultations.

This is Minister MacDonald’sthird visit to Saskatchewan.
