USDA Export Sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 593,000 MT for delivery in the 2013/2014 marketing year were primarily for China (239,300 MT, including 165,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (122,900 MT), Nigeria (99,900 MT, including 7,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Brazil (60,500 MT), and Ecuador (32,800 MT, including 27,200 MT switched from unknown destinations and 3,400 MT switched from Peru).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (107,100 MT).  Exports of 688,500 MT were primarily to China (233,000 MT), Brazil (89,000 MT), Thailand (76,200 MT), Japan (66,900 MT), Mexico (54,000 MT), Ecuador (48,300 MT), and the Philippines (28,500 MT). 

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 55,000 MT, all South Korea.

Corn:  Net sales of 233,100 MT for 2012/2013 were down 31 percent from the previous week, but up 42 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (146,600 MT, including 94,200 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,400 MT), Venezuela (70,900 MT, including 31,900 MT switched from unknown destinations), Brazil (32,000 MT), Panama (16,100 MT), and the Dominican Republic (14,800 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (62,700 MT).  Net sales of 81,400 MT for 2013/2014 were primarily for unknown destinations (69,000 MT) and Mexico (10,800 MT).  Decreases were reported for Japan (7,900 MT).  Exports of 353,400 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (240,600 MT), Mexico (60,500 MT), Venezuela (31,900 MT), and the Dominican Republic (15,800 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2012/2013, outstanding optional origin sales total 65,000 MT, all South Korea.  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 100,000 MT, all Mexico.

Barley:  Net sales of 300 MT for 2013/2014 were reported for the Philippines (200 MT) and Taiwan (100 MT).  Exports of 1,100 MT were to Taiwan (700 MT) and the Philippines (400 MT).

Sorghum:  Net sales of 20,500 MT for 2012/2013 were reported for Japan (18,300 MT) and China (2,200 MT).  Net sales of 4,500 MT for 2013/2014 were for China.  Exports of 1,600 MT were reported to Mexico (1,400 MT) and China (200 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 60,000 MT, all China.

Rice:  Net sales of 39,000 MT for 2012/2013 were down 25 percent from the previous week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (29,400 MT), Jordan (6,100 MT), Canada (1,700 MT), Colombia (600 MT), and Australia (200 MT).  Decreases were reported for El Salvador (200 MT) and Haiti (200 MT).  Exports of 89,300 MT were up 42 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (33,000 MT), Japan (20,100 MT), Mexico (13,800 MT), Haiti (9,300 MT), and Canada (3,100 MT).

Soybeans:  Net sales of 120,600 MT for 2012/2013 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were for Mexico (39,900 MT), Indonesia (28,900 MT, including 25,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,400 MT), unknown destinations (24,500 MT), Taiwan (11,900 MT), and Japan (8,700 MT).  Net sales of 249,100 MT for 2013/2014 were for unknown destinations (196,500 MT) and Mexico (52,600 MT).  Exports of 115,900 MT were down 48 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (48,600 MT), Mexico (29,500 MT), Indonesia (29,300 MT), Vietnam (4,500 MT), and Taiwan (2,200 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:   For 2013/2014, outstanding optional origin sales total 130,000 MT, all China.  

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 116,300 MT for 2012/2013 were up noticeably from the previous week and 74 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for the Philippines (59,200 MT), Venezuela (25,000 MT), Mexico (10,200 MT), Panama (7,900 MT), Canada (7,600 MT), and Israel (7,500 MT switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (7,500 MT), Bangladesh (600 MT), Nicaragua (500 MT), and Ecuador (200 MT).  Net sales of 4,200 MT for 2013/2014 were for Canada.  Exports of 86,300 MT were down 39 percent from the previous week and 27 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (32,300 MT), Ecuador (29,900 MT), Canada (14,400 MT), the Philippines (3,200 MT), and Bangladesh (2,200 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 1,600 MT for 2012/2013 were down 45 percent from the previous week and 87 percent and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Nicaragua (800 MT), Trinidad (700 MT), and Australia (100 MT).  Exports of 5,900 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and 29 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Venezuela (2,500 MT), Mexico (900 MT), Canada (800 MT), and Nicaragua (800 MT).  

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 34,500 running bales for 2012/2013 were down 39 percent from the previous week and 67 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Taiwan (9,600 RB), China (8,000 RB), Thailand (4,900 RB), Vietnam (3,000 RB, including 200 RB switched from Japan and decreases of 500 RB), and Turkey (2,600 RB).  Decreases were reported for Japan (1,100 RB).  Net sales of 41,500 RB for 2013/2014 were reported primarily for Mexico (13,600 RB), Turkey (8,800 RB), China (5,600 RB), and Thailand (3,700 RB).  Decreases were reported for Ecuador (400 RB).  Exports of 196,200 RB were up 50 percent from the previous week, but down 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (64,400 RB), Turkey (39,700 RB), Indonesia (18,200 RB), Vietnam (12,500 RB), and Peru (11,400 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 2,900 RB for 2012/2013 resulted as increases for China (2,600 RB) and Thailand (1,700 RB, including 1,500 RB switched from Taiwan and 200 RB switched from India), were partially offset by decreases for Taiwan (1,500 RB).  Net sales of 1,700 RB for 2013/2014 were for Germany (1,300 RB), India (300 RB), and Japan (100 RB).  Exports of 5,500 RB were down 71 percent from the previous week and 77 percent from the prior 4-week average.   The primary destinations were China (3,000 RB), Japan (1,100 RB), and India (600 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2012/2013, outstanding optional origin sales total 28,500 RB, and are for China (14,600 RB), South Korea (13,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 74,500 RB, and is for China (73,400 RB) and Vietnam (1,100 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 460,200 pieces for 2013 were down 6 percent from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 449,300 pieces were primarily for China (305,900 pieces, including 2,400 pieces switched from South Korea and decreases of 1,800 pieces), South Korea (95,200 pieces), Hong Kong (17,300 pieces), and Taiwan (10,900 pieces).  Exports of 330,400 pieces were down 29 percent from the previous week and 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (179,200 pieces), South Korea (68,100 pieces), Taiwan (23,500 pieces), Mexico (15,300 pieces), and Hong Kong (14,700 pieces).    

Net sales of 102,400 wet blues for 2013 were primarily for Mexico (16,000 unsplit and 13,100 grain splits), South Korea (25,200 grain splits), China (14,500 unsplit and 3,600 grain splits), and the Dominican Republic (10,600 grain splits and 6,400 unsplit).  Exports of 133,900 hides were primarily to China (40,900 unsplit and 3,600 grain splits), Mexico (33,300 grain splits), Vietnam (19,300 unsplit), and South Korea (9,100 grain splits and 1,400 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 170,600 pounds were for South Korea (123,800 pounds) and China (54,500 pounds).  Decreases were reported for Italy (7,400 pounds) and Taiwan (300 pounds).   Exports of 828,400 pounds were to China (424,600 pounds), South Korea (262,100 pounds), Hong Kong (100,000 pounds), and Taiwan (41,700 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 12,400 MT for 2013 were primarily for Japan (5,400 MT), Mexico (2,100 MT), Canada (1,800 MT), South Korea (1,000 MT), and Hong Kong (1,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for Qatar (100 MT) and Germany (100 MT).  Exports of 15,600 MT were up 2 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (4,800 MT), Hong Kong (2,700 MT), Mexico (2,700 MT), Canada (2,300 MT), and South Korea (1,700 MT).  

Pork: Net sales of 10,000 MT for 2013 were primarily for Hong Kong (5,700 MT), Canada (1,400 MT), Japan (1,100 MT), South Korea (600 MT), and Singapore (300 MT).  Decreases were reported for Mexico (500 MT).  Exports of 8,600 MT were primarily to Mexico (2,900 MT), Canada (1,100 MT), Japan (1,100 MT), Hong Kong (900 MT), and South Korea (500 MT).
