Polaris is making financial and equipment donations to help the community of Fort McMurray rebuild after devastating wildfires caused extensive damage and evacuations.

The company is donating $10,000 through the Canadian Red Cross, the use of five Polaris Ranger utility vehicles and generators.

The company said it’s crucial for communities to rally around one another in a time of need.

“It was important to us to help the communities of Alberta and the Fort McMurray – where many Polaris riders live – to rebuild after the devastating fires,” said Norm Sukkau, Polaris Canadian General Sales Manager in a press release. “Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by the fires – including Four Season Power Sports, one of our locally owned dealerships.”

Four Season Power Sports suffered severe losses as a result of the wildfires, but the employees are using it as motivation to come back even stronger.

We are making plans to rebuild and are focused on renewing our support to the community that is our home,” said owner Gene Ouellette in a press release. “Every one of our staff is passionate about powersports and want to get back to work.
