Sprayer highlights Ritchie Bros. auction

A Ritchie Bros. auction held in Lethbridge, Alberta on December 2 was highlighted by a sprayer selling for more than $400,000.

A 2015 John Deere R4045 120ft 4x4 high clearance sprayer sold for $405,000.

Specs: 582 hours, hyd pump, 1250 gal stainless steel tank, 5 nozzle bodies, fence row nozzles, rinse tank, GS3 display, SF2 activation, StarFire 3000 receiver, hyd axle adj, 380/105R50, 231 machine hrs showing, section control, BoomTrac Pro.

A 2012 John Deere 9510RT track tractor sold for $252,500.

White rot, also known as sclerotinia, is a common agricultural fungal disease caused by various virulent species of Sclerotinia. It initially affects the root system (mycelium) before spreading to the aerial parts through the dissemination of spores.

Sclerotinia is undoubtedly a disease of major economic importance, and very damaging in the event of a heavy attack.

All these attacks come from the primary inoculum stored in the soil: sclerotia. These forms of resistance can survive in the soil for over 10 years, maintaining constant contamination of susceptible host crops, causing symptoms on the crop and replenishing the soil inoculum with new sclerotia.
