New Monsanto Dicamba Herbicide XtendiMax Approved For Use In Oklahoma As Cotton Acres Climb

During the 2017 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Associate Farm Director Carson Horn sat down with Ty Witten, North America Crop Protection Systems Lead for Monsanto, to talk about the regulatory status of XtendiMax® with VaporGrip™ technology, the low-volatility dicamba herbicide, here in Oklahoma as planted cotton acres are noted to be climbing in the state. You can listen to Horn and Witten speak about XtendiMax and its benefits to cotton farmers in Oklahoma, by clicking or tapping the LISTEN BAR below at the bottom of this story.

“We’re excited to see cotton acres go up in the state of Oklahoma,” Witten said about the companion product to the company’s cotton seed. “With the launch two years ago of Bollgard® II Xtendflex® cotton - we’ve seen some great adoption of that, but we haven’t had the chemistry approved yet.”

Witten says that without the chemistry approved, farmers who have planted Xtendflex® cotton over the last two years, have not been able to fully utilize that technology for good weed resistance management. However, Monsanto was able to announce a change in that status during the Commodity Classic this year.

“We had an EPA registration at the end of this last year that we were really excited about,” he said. “After that federal registration happened, we went through the state approval process and we’re excited to say that the state of Oklahoma is having that product available for use.”

Video: We’re gonna build a new barn to start producing vaccines in Canada

We are a family farm in Ontario showing you what we do on our farm to produce eggs and what goes on day to day. Every day we do chores, gather eggs and make feed. On our farm we plant the crops and harvest them to feed the chickens, also we start our laying hens from day old chicks and raise them to be the best birds they can be to give you a grade A quality egg. After we are finished looking after our chickens, anything could happen from washing, waxing, fixing, welding, working on engines, working on classic cars, and more. I hope everyone enjoys cheers.

So since Covid, we have not had a way to produce any vaccines in Canada until now….. Valo has reached out to us to start start the process .
