Saskatchewan Farmers Call Proposed Federal Tax Changes ‘Unacceptable’

Saskatchewan farmers are part of a national coalition expressing opposition to proposed federal tax changes.

Currently, a consultation period is underway. The 2 1/2 month consultation period ends October 2nd.

Canadian Federation of Agriculture vice president Norm Hall farms at Wynyard. He says the proposals are unacceptable and would push up farm costs.

He wants farmers to spread the message to their MPs.

“It’s something we’re asking farmers and landowners to get a hold of the MPs,” Hall said. “We want them to give their ear a shake on this one.”
