October proved to be a historic month for grain movement on one of Canada’s national railways.
Canadian National (CN) announced it had its “best week ever for grain movement” this month.
The historic week occurred during the week of Oct. 16 (week 12 of the 2022-2023 crop year).
That week, CN moved over 806,000 metric tonnes of grain from Western Canada.
This volume topped the railway’s previous record by more than 50,000 metric tonnes.
