Demo: S680 Combine Tracks Vs Tires In Mudpit.

By Farms.com Team

Farm machinery companies are introducing a wider range of tractors and combines available with track options.

The major benefit of tracks instead of tires is said to be better traction as well as less soil compaction.

Pender Implement, a John Deere dealership in Nebraska had demonstration where a S680 combine with regular tires and a big 16 row corn head tried to drive through a very muddy test path.

A JD S680 with the tracked option tries to move through the same muddy mess.

Watch the results.  The Tracked John Deere Combine tries the mud at the 6:30 time mark of the video.
