Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association Vote To Increase Beef Check-Off

The Saskatchewan Cattlemen’s Association held their Annual General Meeting last week in Saskatoon.

A key topic of discussion was the National Beef Check-off with the group voting unanimously to increase the National Beef Check-off.

CEO Ryder Lee explains.

"When you look at the research side of things it is about competitiveness and increasing the competitiveness of our herd. It is about increasing cargage value or what we get when we sell our animals. It is about productivity, not just what we're doing and doing it better but competitiveness with other nations."
