SDSU Extension Launches New Grassland Information Service

With the new look and feel of SDSU Extension’s service, staff have taken steps to evaluate outreach methods to improve information sharing with our landowners, producers, and constituents. As part of that process, we’ve recognized that not everyone has the opportunity to visit us here at iGrow on a regular basis. To help keep you informed on the latest in grassland and pasture information, including events, trainings, pasture tours, conservation program updates, and of course iGrow articles, we’ve launched a new service dubbed SDGRASSINFO.

What is SDGRASSINFO?

SDGRASSINFO is a simple email-based information sharing system. The common term is an email list serve. Basically, the service allows you to receive simple email updates on the topics listed above, generally 1-2 per week. With over 600 participants already receiving these updates, we are certain this is one more way to simply stay informed.

How does SDGRASSINFO work?

This service is currently run by Pete Bauman, SDSU Range Field Specialist. Simply contact Pete Bauman and he’ll add your email address to the service. Since this is an SDSU run site, your information will not be share or distributed. You’ll receive simple email posting, one or two sentences long, describing the information and providing links to the article or event flyer. Simple click on the link to get the specific information. Simply delete the message if you aren’t interested in that particular topic.

What are the rules for SDGRASSINFO?

Because it is an SDSU Extension sponsored service, we do have some simple rules that allow the service to run efficiently while protecting the integrity of the service and its recipients.
