Case IH, Welker Farms Team Up to Inspire Next-generation Producers

For more than 175 years, Case IH has been educating, inspiring and helping producers optimize their operation, from field prep to harvest. Keeping the tradition alive, Case IH is proud to announce a new partnership with Montana-based farmstead, Welker Farms Inc. With a combined 284 years in agriculture, Case IH and Welker Farms will showcase that experience and continue to inspire future farmers worldwide.

Welker Farms, in Shelby, Montana, has been in the Welker family since 1912. Third-generation farmer, Bob Welker, along with his sons Nick and Scott, aim to carry on their family-farm legacy. Throughout the 10,000-acre farm, the Welkers grow spring wheat, winter wheat, yellow peas and lentils. To help streamline and enhance the midsized family farm’s productivity, Case IH has provided Welker Farms with an equipment lineup that features an Axial-Flow® combine, AFS Harvest Command™ and AFS Connect™.

“Partnering with Case IH provides us with the tools to continue doing what we love doing on our farm,” said Nick Welker, a fourth-generation farmer. “We are passionate about the work we do, and we want our kids to be raised with the same understanding. Our proud heritage not only drives us to keep our operation running but also to showcase agriculture and inspire future farmers worldwide through our YouTube channel.”

In 2012, to celebrate 100 years of successful farming, Nick produced a video featuring the farm’s operation. With more than 800,000 views, the video became an instant success. Since then, the Welkers have become YouTube sensations, with more than 320,000 channel subscribers. Their weekly videos feature everyday life on the farm, their successes, and challenges they face each season.

Case IH and its employees, dealers and their families know intimately what life on the farm is like. Farming millions of acres all over North America, they understand the challenges producers and growers face every day.

“Case IH equipment is made for farmers, by farmers,” said Sy Stevens, Case IH brand marketing communications manager. “Our Case IH family milks, plants, tills, harvests and bales. With this partnership, Case IH is committed to helping farmers and supporting the growth and success of the Welker family’s operation.”

To kick off the official partnership, the Welker family will join Case IH at World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, February 11–13. Attendees are invited to stop by the Case IH booth to meet the Welkers and participate in signings and meet-and-greet events throughout the show.

The Role of Food and Non-Food Crops in Alternative Fuel Production

Video: The Role of Food and Non-Food Crops in Alternative Fuel Production

Warren Morris, Senior Manager of Product Management at AGCO, discusses the role of food and non-food crops in alternative fuel production. From corn and soybeans to perennials like switchgrass and camelina, AGCO explores sustainable feedstocks for biofuels and clean energy solutions.

Key Highlights in This Video:

>> Food vs. Non-Food Feedstocks: Traditional crops like corn and soybeans are widely used, but non-food crops such as switchgrass, miscanthus, and camelina are gaining attention due to sustainability and no food displacement.

>> Camelina as a Case Study: Camelina functions as an intermediate crop, protecting soil like a cover crop while generating cash, and can be harvested using existing farm equipment.

>> Sustainable Fuel Production: Using food crops for fuel can be sustainable if paired with proper land management and does not displace food production.

>> AGCO’s Role: AGCO develops fuel-flexible machines and knowledge resources to support farmers as the industry adopts multiple alternative fuel options globally.

>> Industry Collaboration: Successful adoption of alternative fuels requires policy support, infrastructure development, and public-private collaboration to make fuels available, affordable, and practical for farmers.
